Lena is a 6 month old female Dachshund cross puppy who was saved from a kill shelter along with her 3 siblings at a few weeks of age. Her siblings have now been adopted and Lena is missing their company. She is expected to remain small in size when fully grown.

Lena is a very kind natured, loving and affectionate girl, she is very fond of her soft toys and keeps carrying them around all day. She is a happy doggie, she is playful and enjoys the company of other dogs and people too.

She is very sociable and loves her doggie mates, be it big or small.

She is also compatible with cats and can be safely rehomed with felines.

Lena would love a home where she is not left alone for long periods and she can be part of family activities. Because of her short legs, she will not need a huge amount of exercise but she is an active playful pup who will need her walks and her playtime according to her age. Her socialization and training will need to be continued in the new home which includes toilet training, lead walk, etc.

She would probably be happiest living with another dog or dogs, but she might as well be content with being the only dog in the household and the centre of attention of her family.

She can also live with cats.

Older children will be considered.

As all rescue dogs, she will need time, patience, love and commitment from her adopting family to become a happy, well balanced dog.

Experience with rescue dogs preferred. No first time owners, please.

Lena is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for her.

She comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.

The right owner will need to agree to have her spayed once fully grown.

Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee. Full RBU provided.
